The conference is organized by UNIDCOM/IADE, the research centre of IADE – Universidade Europeia, a leading institution in design, technology, and communication based in Lisbon, Portugal. UNIDCOM/IADE is renowned for its interdisciplinary research in design, technology, and innovation. The event is co-organised with LDCI – Design, Culture and Innovation Lab from UFRGS the host, one of Brazil’s most respected universities, known for its cutting-edge research and academic excellence. Together, these institutions bring a wealth of experience and expertise, ensuring that S&S 2025 will be a vibrant and engaging platform for the global design community.

S&S 2025 will be held at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in Brazil, offering an in-person experience with the added flexibility of online participation. This hybrid format ensures that participants can engage in the conference, whether they are able to attend on-site or prefer to join remotely.
